Farmer Wants a Wife: Braden Takes Us Behind the Scenes of Season 4

Farmer Braden didn’t think he’d ever do a show like Farmer Wants a Wife, but he’s sure glad he did. We caught up with Braden Pridemore, one of the three farmers on Farmer Wants a Wife Season 4, on our Farmer Wants a Wife Afterparty podcast to chat about all the drama, jokes and the surprising things that did not get aired. Braden picked Casey in the finale episode to continue a relationship with, and the pair are still going strong. “We haven’t gone more than, I think, two weeks without seeing each other,” Braden said. “It’s really going well.” He echoed what Brett said on the podcast in that so little of what is filmed is actually shown on TV. But while there is often context missing, he didn’t think anything was inaccurate. “You don’t know what they’re going to show, so Tuesday nights were kind of stressful,” he said. One of the scenes that made it into the final cut was his and Casey’s first kiss. He said they thought that all the camera guys had given up for the night because they couldn’t see anyone. But then after the kiss while walking back to his trailer, he spotted the camera crew in an unlikely place. “Two of the camera guys that I’m still friends with are inside my pine trees,” Braden said. “Always check the trees.” While farming is Braden’s career, he does also write and perform music. And while Fox promoted his singer-songwriter experience in his bio prior to the season airing, it never made the final edit. “I actually sang a song I wrote to Casey, and they left it out,” Braden said. But for fans who are interested in hearing a bit of this song, Braden did post the cut clip to his TikTok page. When it comes to his Illinois corn and soybean farm, Braden said he was happy with how it was portrayed, despite not much happening on the farm since filming occurred after they finished up the year’s harvest. “There’s a lot of misconceptions about farming,” Braden said. “I tried to do my best to showcase ag and showcase row crop farming.”
