Apologetics 5: Reason, Imagination, and Beauty

This fifth presentation explores the multiple aspects of the appeal of Christianity. In addition to exploring how Christianity makes sense of things, it also considers the apologetic importance of imagination and beauty. The lecture opens by considering why we need more than facts. It then explores why it matters to show that faith is reasonable, and how the imagination can be a gateway to the Soul. Finally, we look at the apologetic importance of beauty, in that it draws us to God, and consider how C. S. Lewis links experience and meaning. This is part of a series of 15 lectures delivered remotely, due to COVID, for Regent College Vancouver in May 2021.
