Cementerio General de Valencia

Cementerio General de Valencia (General Cemetery of Valencia) was inaugurated in the morning of Sunday 7th June, 1807, and the first deceased was buried the next day. A fellow sailor loves to visit cemeteries in foreign countries so we looked up what might be close to us and landed on this amazing place. It was so interesting we went back a 2nd day. There are famous and everyday people buried there. Many different types of tombs and mausoleums, gardens, cats and birds. Spiritually inspiring and a step into history, realizing each family and their loved ones are memorialized.
