SYND 2 5 77 PREMIER BHUTTO LEAVES AFTER MEETING PIR PAGARO

(2 May 1977) Pakistan Prime Minister Zhulfikar Ali Bhutto leaving a Sihala hotel after his meeting with the Pir Of Pagaro, a religious leader and acting leader of the Pakistan National Alliance, who had been temporarily detained there. At the meeting, Bhutto is believed to have offered the opposition a fresh general election, provided he stays on as Prime Minister. The Pir, who is also head of the Pakistan Moslem League, spoke to reporters.
