According to official statistics, nearly 44,000 refugees from Ukraine were registered in Latvia in 2024, 60% of whom were women and 40% were men, while 28% of the total number of refugees were children under 18. Approximately half of all working-age refugees are officially employed in Latvia. Only 1% of all working-age Ukrainians are employed in their primary field, primarily in medicine. Currently, Baltia is investigating how Ukrainians are learning Latvian and integrating into the Latvian labor market.
