Join us on this journey through the Venezuelan Andes, where nature tested us with torrential rains, blocked roads, and impassable terrain. It all began on wet asphalt, exploring picturesque Andean villages, enjoying the hospitality of its people and lush vegetation… but suddenly, the fury of the weather changed everything, giving us no respite. The rains not only didn't stop, but they washed away the roads, forcing us to seek alternative dirt routes which, under the relentless downpour, turned into treacherous mud pits. Even using a 4x4 vehicle, it was quite an ordeal. Through the mud, potholes, and mountain fog at over 2,500 meters altitude, traveling without a support vehicle, we pressed on as night fell, without giving up, without turning back, with only one goal: to reach the Cabimbú Páramo. Under these extreme conditions, we managed to reach a makeshift shelter in the early morning, completely soaked, unbearably cold, and utterly exhausted. The following morning dawned relentlessly, but we were up and about with renewed energy. This restorative rest was very positive, and so we began the ascent to the mythical Páramo de Cabimbú. As we drove along the final stretch of road, the first frailejones emerged from the mist like silent sentinels, welcoming us to the summit. We were happy not to have faltered on our odyssey and to have achieved our goal: reaching the Páramo de Cabimbú. An experience you can't miss. Join me, you can't miss it.
