NewType Challenge 2026 Mission 2 EP. 003 [ROUND 5] – BP Barbatos Rush vs RW ZAFT

Final round… and I had to stick to the plan. In this match I was playing BP Barbatos Rush against RW ZAFT, and once again the game plan was simple: Apply pressure early and don’t let up. I was able to execute cleanly, keeping my opponent on the back foot and not giving them time to stabilize. It definitely helped that they didn’t draw the pieces they needed to respond, but that’s just how it goes sometimes. Against BP, if you take too long to stabilize… it’s unforgiving. But here’s the wild part. I kinda spoke it into existence — I said my opponent’s shields would have no commands, just units… And for the most part… that’s exactly how it played out 😅 That ended up making it a lot easier to keep pushing and take a smooth path to the win. ⸻ Welcome to NewType Misplays — where every turn is probably a misplay.
