ACÁ ESTAMOS - Capítulo 8 - Jorgelina Molina Planas y Pedro Nadal

Jorgelina disappeared with her mother when she was almost 4 years old. She was adopted by a family that denied her contact with her biological family, who searched tirelessly for her. She recounts how she was slowly able to rebuild her ties, especially with her brother Damián, who was the driving force behind the search when their paternal grandmother died in exile in Sweden. Pedro disappeared with his mother when he was 9 months old. Through a court summons, he agreed to take a DNA test, and thus discovered his true identity and that his father and brother were still alive. This series of documentaries seeks to tell the story of the grandchildren returned by the Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo until they discovered their true origins and reunited with their legitimate families. Violently separated from their mothers at birth, most of whom were given to people close to the dictatorship, these men and women give voice and body to their own stories, which blend the intimate and personal with the political and social. The documentary series is a co-production between the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo and Canal Encuentro, produced by Zafra Producciones and Barakacine, and directed by Paula Romero.
