AASHTO T248 Reduction of Aggregate Samples

The Materials Testing and Reducing Aggregate Samples video covers the methods for splitting a sample: using a mechanical splitter and quartering. The purpose of these procedures is to reduce large samples of aggregate to the appropriate size for testing. The end product should be a sample that is representative of the source.
