Origin Foundation and EPIC Pathways join forces

The Origin Foundation is backing the next generation of First Nations leaders. That's the idea behind our Origin Foundation partnership with EPIC Pathways, a First Nations-led mentoring program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander high schoolers. Since 2024, EPIC has mentored more than 1,000 Indigenous students across Queensland, the Northern Territory and New South Wales — helping them thrive at school and build real pathways into further education, work and beyond. So, what does EPIC Pathways do, day to day? It's mentoring that meets kids where they're at: help with homework, a look inside a university campus, and someone in their corner who helps them see a future they might not have pictured for themselves. You'll hear that story firsthand in this video. Rhian Miller went from mentee at the former Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME) to mentor, to now CEO of EPIC Pathways. Reuben Bolt, Deputy Vice Chancellor at the University of Sydney talks about the mentoring that got him into a PhD he never thought was on the cards. It's a partnership with real history behind it too — our Origin Foundation has been backing this work since those early days of AIME, and we're proud to keep that legacy going with EPIC. Together, we're helping to create bright futures in Aussie classrooms and empowering tomorrow's leaders. We can't wait to see what's next. Want to see more of what EPIC Pathways does?
