Wing Chun - Wooden Dummy Basics Pt 3
In this short clip James Sinclair is simply introducing basic wooden dummy ideas to any student new to dummy training. Highlighting the correct attitude as much as the angle is of vital importance. As stated before the dummy is just wood, and is of litle use without correct understanding. The Wing Chun student does not strike the dummy with full force but, rather, powerful controlling force. Usually sticking, but not always, the dummy will tend to bounce in a controlled manner. It is important that your dummy is heavy and not too soft in terms of the support springiness. Train well and we hope you find a small piece of information in these clips that could help.
