MTB Enduro Trails / Steep chutes / Great Features / The Old Kilpatrick Hills / Glasgow

It's the first time we've ridden the trails in The Old Kilpatrick Hills and they were really cool. The trails at the very top were short and very managable. But beware the 6km fireroad climb is a bit of a killer. Well, in parts. First part is ok and manageable up to the gate. From the gate, it starts to get a bit mental. I wanted to peddle to a resting place (where there's a big bolder at the side of the road on the left), but I did have to have a wee rest 2 or three times before I managed it. Then after that I decided to push to the corner (you'll see), it's not that far, and then after that the ride was very enjotable going past the beautiful Loch Humphrey, where there's plenty of places for a photo. If you want to ride the trail with the STEEP chute! You go into Foreplay and then turn immediate left after the sign and follow your nose. Can't really miss it. It took us a wee while to go down it. As usual Gopro makes it look easy! Then it was finally down to Minceurs and Tatties for a blast down. Plenty of features on this trail but because of the low sun position and wet conditions, we found it hard to fully enjoy this trail. BUT, we'll be back in the summer to have another go!
