After months of planning, our Meghalaya trip finally began. We started our journey from Howrah and boarded a train towards Guwahati. Along the way, we witnessed changing landscapes, crossed the mighty Brahmaputra River, met interesting people, and experienced the unique charm of train travel in Northeast India. After reaching Guwahati, we took a cab to Shillong, stopping for breakfast and enjoying the beautiful roads leading into Meghalaya. Things didn't go exactly as planned once we arrived in Shillong—the hostel we wanted was already full, and we had to search for alternative accommodation.
