Through this book, Sheikh Muhammad Said Ramadhan al-Buthi strives to present rational, scientific, and convincing evidence for the claimed truth of Islamic teachings. By reading, understanding, and delving into this book, we can become increasingly convinced and firm that Islam does not require dogma in its core teachings. Everything is based on evidence. And these evidences themselves can be scientifically proven to be accurate. From the beginning, the author of this book has committed to not accepting the validity of a teaching unless it is scientifically proven. If Islam is indeed problematic, and its core teachings are not based on evidence, then, as a scientific necessity, we cannot view it as a true religion. Because claims of truth require evidence. But if the opposite is true, and the main teachings of Islam are proven to be convincingly true, then the scientific consequence is that we must willingly accept the truth of this religion and make it our guide for life. Amidst the rise of critical teachings against religion (especially Islam), this book is certainly very relevant to study. This will enable us to understand the evidence for the truth of our religion and also to know how to refute deviant ideas out there. Good religious practice is not enough to simply cultivate piety. It also requires solidifying the foundation of knowledge. And hopefully, this small effort can realize this noble goal.
