Creating Our Future: Designing the EU's Multiannual Financial Framework Series: Access: Political Science Recording Date: 19-03-2018 In the coming months, the European Commission is expected to publish the post-2020 Multiannual Financial Framework. This will mark the beginning of the central phase of negotiations on the financing and design of the European Union's redistributive policies, as well as cohesion policy. A key issue will also be the budgetary consequences of Brexit. The debate centers on the position of cuts following the UK's departure or increasing the quotas of the largest contributors. The impact of these proposals on Spain's financial relationship with the EU budget is also considered.
