100km crossing the wilderness of Arctic Sweden on The Kungsleden

Hello and thanks for watching / reading down here! Welcome to the Kungsleden, after watching a video of a guy hiking this in summer I knew it had to go on my bucket list.. but then I saw a post about a company that did guided trips in the winter / spring conditions covered in snow and ice... which got me super interested, next thing you know I'm in Abisko, 200km north of the Arctic circle with skis on and a sled attached to me! The Kungsleden is 450km in total but we were only completing a small popular section from Abisko to Nikkaluakta and you'll see from the video how that goes! we actually had the opportunity to see the Northern lights on 3 of the evenings, the camera didn't pick it top that great so the other times I just enjoyed them with my eyes. The huts along the trail were even better than id expected, some even offering saunas and small shops.. you can book these through the STF website which is Swedens tourist association. im so used to doing things either alone or with my dad, I wasn't sure how id get on in a group situation but I fully enjoyed it, my friend matt came along and the 4 others including the guide were amazing and so much fun. we had to endure some pretty extreme weather at times and helped each other along the way, managing our daily chores as a team.. amazing experience. I booked it through a company called Sidetracked Adventures whom offer a mixture of these types of trips, id highly recommend! thanks again for watching, hope you enjoyed the video and let me know if you have any questions! much love, Sam x
