Traditional 'lac ki churi' or lacquer bangle being made by a Rajasthani man on his hot table fired by live coals. Made of lac, these bangles are the epitome of Indian traditions and craftsmanship. Made by hand, it takes in a lot of time and effort to make them and mould them from a malleable state to round bangles. To add colour to the bangles the lac while in a semi-solid form more colour is added and then bit by bit the lacquer is put on a handle and moulded into bangles from there. Once the moulded into a round shape a copper bangle is added to it for the bangle to hold its shape. They are extremely popular among women and with intricate detailing of master craftsmanship, Lac bangles are the most sought after items among the lower middle-class Indian groups. Designer lacquer bangles come in various colours like red, green, black, blue colour lac bangles which can coordinate with your dress.
