Michael and Alex | Worth the Wait (1x01 - 3x13)

"I love him. I probably always will." I always enjoy making these videos, but I think something about this one was special. I don't know if it's the content of it, or just the sheer joy it brought me to create something after the past few weeks of not doing anything. I'm not sure if it's better in any way than the videos I've done before, or somehow more coherent, but I think this one is a lot more positive than the other ones I've done. Many of my past videos have really delved into the trauma present in their relationship, and the ways in which they had mutually hurt one another along the way. With this one, I think I was trying to look at it through the positive lens of loving someone for over a decade and the very natural good and bad that comes with it. There's no real narrative, no real theme I'm trying to follow. I just wanted to take a moment to look at this beautifully engaging relationship. Besides, it was really fun to be able to use a few clips and moments I haven't brought out before. It's been a long stretch of months since the end of season 3, and it's hard to create original work with only a set pack of scenes to choose from. I think this one shook up my normal format. Also as just a last point. I truly think Alex saying "it is just a standard, run-of-the-mill boy problem" is perhaps one of the single most unreasonable lines in the entire show. Like he said this right after finding out the guy he had been in love with for ten years was an alien who was trying to leave the planet. I just... I can't.
