Last week, I found out that I have Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma. What started as a simple check-up and a small lump on my neck turned into multiple tests, ultrasounds, and a biopsy I never expected to go through. I’m still trying to process everything, but I’ve decided to share my journey — not only to raise awareness, but also for those who may be silently going through the same thing. This coming June/July, I’m preparing for my thyroid surgery. Even with the help of my HMO, we still need to prepare a huge amount for the remaining hospital bills, professional fees, laboratories, medications, and recovery expenses.
