I had an acopella tik tok cover of How to sAvE a Life that turned into the Tokyo Goul opening 3 seconds in, and the company that owns the song decided to copyright my video and instead of just demonetizing it, they wanted to share monetization, and all the money I made from my video went straight to them. I only got $4.00 in accordance to us "sharing" monetization. And this was after having my video in Escrow over the dispute for 2 weeks. What's Warner Brothers gonna do with 100 bucks? I can put that money towards rent, towards gas, towards groceries, towards my electric bill, twords photoshop and supplies for my store. So instead of sharing I just reuploaded without the song, because screw them. I'm sorry for the reupload, but I refuse to share with a giant corporation over a 3 second clip. I don't make these videos for the money, I make them because I want to, but the reality is that I need to live and this is heartbreaking every time it happens.
