we take you to eat at Pesce d'Oro, an incredible restaurant on Lake Chiusi. Calm and almost surreal atmosphere around the lake, the restaurant has a classic and welcoming environment. The menu is divided between interesting land proposals and obviously lake fish proposals, the pasta is homemade, intriguing wine list. We obviously opted for the fish menu and we started with an ancient and traditional dish, the brustico. Followed by gnocchi with crawfish and handmade pici with fish ragù with breadcrumbs. For the second course another super traditional dish, the tegamaccio, a mix of stewed lake fish, to be precise, eel, tench, pike and black largemouth bass, all accompanied by Trasimeno beans seasoned with a wonderful monocultivar Minuta di Chiusi oil. For dessert, dark chocolate fondant cake and phyllo pastry parcel with apples, almonds and cinnamon.
