Authorities in Santa Monica are investigating a homicide that occurred early Monday morning, July 20, in a parking lot on the south side of the iconic pier. The shooting was reported around 12:30 a.m., prompting Santa Monica Police Department officers to respond to the parking area on the south side of the Santa Monica Pier. Upon arrival, emergency responders found the victim without vital signs and pronounced dead at the scene.
