Did This Small Nuc Survive 2 Weeks Unfed in a Drought?

This video is a follow on to moving nucs to out yards. This part, I’m back at the Square Top Yard for a follow-up inspection after moving one more hive into place. The main thing I want to check is a small nuc that I left two weeks ago without supplemental feed and drought conditions got really bad after I left them. I was really concerned, because I had one similar starve out at the Wolf yard. With the drought and limited resources coming in, I honestly wasn’t sure what I would find when I opened it up. In this video, I inspect the nuc to see if it survived, check the condition of the bees and frames, and talk through what I’m seeing. I also take a look at how the yard is progressing overall, including signs of honey starting to come in and how these colonies are handling the current conditions.
