RBI Plans to Introduce Polymer Currency Notes for ₹10 and ₹20 | TV9Gujarati #PolymerNotes #PlasticCurrency #RBI #IndianRupee #NewBanknotes #CurrencyUpdate #RBITender #SecureNotes #IndiaEconomy #TV9Gujarati શું ભારતમાં હવે કાગળની નોટોના બદલે પોલિમર એટલે કે પ્લાસ્ટિક કરન્સી નોટો જોવા મળશે? ભારતીય રિઝર્વ બેંક (RBI)એ ₹10 અને ₹20ની નવી પોલિમર નોટોના ઉત્પાદન માટે વૈશ્વિક સ્તરે ટેન્ડર બહાર પાડ્યું છે. શરૂઆતમાં આ નોટોનો પાયલોટ પ્રોજેક્ટ હાથ ધરવામાં આવશે. જો ટ્રાયલ સફળ રહેશે તો વર્ષ 2027થી આ નોટોને મોટા પાયે ચલણમાં લાવવાનો નિર્ણય લેવામાં આવી શકે છે. નવી પોલિમર નોટોમાં ટ્રાન્સપેરન્ટ વિન્ડો, મેટાલિક નંબર, મેગ્નેટિક સિક્યોરિટી થ્રેડ સહિત અનેક આધુનિક સુરક્ષા સુવિધાઓ સામેલ થઈ શકે છે. તેનો મુખ્ય હેતુ નોટોને વધુ ટકાઉ બનાવવાનો અને નકલી ચલણ પર નિયંત્રણ લાવવાનો છે. According to the proposal, polymer notes are expected to last significantly longer than conventional paper notes and offer enhanced protection against counterfeiting. The tender also includes strict conditions regarding supply chains, including restrictions related to China and Pakistan-linked suppliers. More than 50 countries across the world already use polymer banknotes due to their durability and advanced security features. RBI is currently evaluating the proposal, and the final rollout will depend on the success of the pilot project and regulatory approvals.
