Mile-A-Day Still Hunting — "Large Group" Variation (Deer Hunting)

Doc covers "Mile-A-Day Still Hunting" in his books, Whitetail Hunter's Almanac, 5th Edition and 10th Edition. In essence, a hunter using this method will travel short distances of 100 to 200 yards, and then sit for an hour before moving again. This method is so slow it can take a hunter an entire day to move 1 mile. In Doc's 5th Edition and 10th Edition Doc describes how one hunter can use this method alone, or how two hunters can use this method together. It has been a very effective for hunting deer because it is non-aggressive. Now, with Global Warming and aggressive wolves hunting day and night, in many areas whitetail deer have become mostly nocturnal. How can a hunter move nocturnal deer during daylight hours — without using aggressive forms of hunting, like traditional drives? The two bad characteristics of traditional deer drives are: first, you only get does and younger bucks, and second, you clear out the area of the drive for the rest of the hunting season. Non-aggressive hunting techniques will keep deer in your hunting area and will enable you to get bucks — even big bucks. This video describes how hunters can combine the best of stand hunting methods with deer drive tactics. It is a new hybrid hunting technique. Part of what is new is Doc describes how three or more hunters — a "Large Goup" can use this technique. This method uses Doc's "Wolf Ruse" which is a special way of walking through the woods that makes deer less alarmed if they spot a hunter. If you are not familiar with this technique you may wish to watch earlier videos on the subject. Anyhow, this is a great new hunting technique that will surely help many hunters get big bucks in the future.
