Last Days in Croatia, First Steps Into Bosnia — Trans Dinarica Ep.3

In this video I pick things up at that incredible campsite in Muskovci before continuing through Croatia, riding through Knin and Sinj before taking a detour off the main route to Split, where we stay with a friend of Bill's and have a well earned day off. While in Split I do a bit of bike maintenance, sorting out my disc brake pads which had been wearing through far quicker than they should. After a lovely rest day we ride back up to Sinj, where we stay another night in a brilliantly cheap apartment, before finally crossing the border into Bosnia and Herzegovina, and leaving the EU behind in the process. This episode is a lot more comfort focused than usual, with apartments and a friend's house rather than the tent, and honestly it's been a really nice change of pace. That said, by the end of this one Bill and I are both saying how we're missing wild camping, and there's some on the cards in the next few days. The riding throughout is beautiful, with some genuinely lovely quiet roads and trails. The Trans Dinarica is a 5,500km bikepacking route crossing eight countries through the Balkans — Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Albania.
