The Ducati Monster has arrived in a completely new form. First unveiled in 1993, the Ducati Monster allowed a wider audience to experience Ducati's performance in a more accessible way, despite its focus on supersports. The Monster's success was a key factor in the brand's advancement. In 2021, Ducati launched the new Monster, once again bolstering the brand's growth. The Monster boldly abandoned the trellis frame, once considered a hallmark of the supersports bikes of the time, and adopted a monocoque frame derived from the latest supersports, the Panigale. The Monster, previously available in the Monster 1200 and Monster 821, is now being released as a single model. The new Monster is powered by the 937cc Testastretta 11' L-twin engine, previously found in the Hypermotard 950. It produces a maximum output of 112 horsepower, maximum torque of 93 Nm, and weighs 188 kg. Compared to the Monster 821, the weight is reduced by 18 kg and maximum torque is increased by 7 Nm at lower revs, providing a more agile and enjoyable ride. Many brands have recently introduced high-performance mid-range naked bikes, and the Ducati Monster seems poised to become the benchmark in many ways.
