With its sharp claws, powerful legs, and advanced hunting techniques, Velociraptor was a formidable predator that could take down prey much larger than itself. Velociraptor was about the size of a turkey, measuring around 6 feet (1.8 meters) in length and weighing around 33 pounds (15 kilograms). Its most distinctive feature was its sickle-shaped retractable claws, which it used to slash at its prey. It also had a long, stiff tail that helped it maintain balance during fast turns and sudden stops. Despite its fearsome reputation, Velociraptor may have been a social animal that hunted in packs.
