Obodoukwu, a sprawling rustic community in the present Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State, 60km West of Owerri, the Eastern Heart land . One festival that enjoys wide popularity in recent time is the Iwa-ji ceremony of the Obodoukwu Ancient Kingdom held every 7th of August annually. This august festival has potential for international marketability, Iwa-ji ceremony a fore-runner to the main annual New Yam harvest, had continued to witness changes in limps and bounds.
