Grandmaster William Cheung demonstrates the key principles of the Traditional Wing Chun System that he learnt from his Master Grandmaster Yip Man. The weakness of the opponents balance, the open targets, the opponents elbow and if he should cross his arms, all present strategic targets to the student of Traditional Wing Chun and should be attacked when the opportunity presents itself. To aid in this Grandmaster Cheung shares some Chi Sao (Sticking Hands) techniques that develop the contact reflexes to enable the Wing Chun practitioner to be able to take advantage of the opponents various weakness at the speed of reflex action. As well as developing the visual reflexes by watching the opponents leading elbow to key the practitioner in on the intended move of the opponent. Also contained in this video is the Bil Jee form and some of its applications. The emphasis being on stabilising the opponent by attacking the balance and steading the target so that a strike can be delivered accurately to the vulnerable target.
