One small family in Ohio is making traditional pocket knives under three completely different brand names — and most collectors have never heard of them. In this video, I review three Cooper Cutlery knives: the Dollar Knife Co. Jack in Osage Orange, the New York Knife Company Barlow in Red Jigged Bone, and the Cooper Cutlery One Arm Razor in Buffalo Horn. Cooper Cutlery was founded around 2018 by Gilbert Cooper, who acquired the entire Queen Cutlery factory — machines, tooling, and parts, some over 100 years old — and moved everything to his family farm in Winchester, Ohio. Each brand name (Dollar Knife Co., New York Knife Co., Beaver Falls Cutlery, and more) is a revived historical American cutlery trademark. Are they worth it?
