Podcasts sell books—plain and simple. I can’t tell you how many books I’ve personally purchased after hearing an author interviewed on a podcast. Podcasting puts you directly in front of new audiences, and introducing your book to new audiences is essential for both impact and income. Many authors even launch podcast tours when releasing a book. John Lee Dumas, host of Entrepreneurs on Fire, famously appeared on hundreds of podcasts when launching one of his books—making podcasting his primary promotional strategy.
