Patriotic Porch Makeover for the 250th Anniversary! 🇺🇸 Flagpole #4thofjuly2026 #americanflag

We’re celebrating the 250th anniversary of our democracy with a patriotic porch refresh! 🇺🇸 This year, instead of just adding small flags to our planters, we decided to go bigger and mount a full American flagpole on our front porch. We started with a flagpole kit from Menards and paired it with a beautiful 250th anniversary flag. After attaching the flag and mapping out where to drill, we realized the included bracket wasn’t sturdy enough — the screws went in at an angle and didn’t give the support we wanted. So on day two, we made a quick trip back to Menards for a stronger mounting bracket, and that made all the difference. With the new bracket installed, the flag is up, secure, and waving proudly. To finish the porch décor, I added some festive pillow covers from Temu, and they look perfect for summer.
