In this series, we'll take you through the ten eras: a handy historical structure that helps you better understand the past. From prehistory to the present, each era tells its own story about how people lived, thought, and shaped the world. Today, we'll start at the beginning: Era 1 – The Age of Hunters and Farmers (until 3000 BC). In this era, people are still living in prehistoric times. They can't write, but they do leave traces: cave paintings, tools, and the remains of huts. We'll look at how hunter-gatherers lived, how they adapted to their environment, and how the first farmers emerged. A huge change: from wandering to living in one place, from hunting to farming.
