O resgate de dois rádios Sanyo RP1250 - A simplicidade que surpreende

In this video, I present the restoration of two Sanyo RP-1250 radios, small transistorized receivers that arrived at the workbench in very different conditions. The first radio required only simple interventions: cleaning the variable capacitor and repairing a broken trace, quickly returning to normal operation. The second radio proved to be a much greater challenge. In addition to repairing the antenna coil windings, it was necessary to investigate a series of faults that led to the total loss of functionality of the device. During the process, I also share some diagnostic and methodological errors that ended up making the search for the defect longer than necessary, an experience that is certainly part of the routine of anyone who restores old equipment. Throughout the analysis, several components were tested and replaced. Although many showed alterations due to aging, the main defect was related to a capacitor associated with the local oscillator stage, whose degradation prevented the radio from oscillating correctly. The end result was the complete recovery of both receivers, preserving yet another example of portable electronic engineering from the 1970s and providing important lessons on diagnostics, methodology, and persistence at the workbench.
