Switzerland - Alpaufzug (Stechelberg - Schiirboden)

The yearly Alpaufzug is when the cows and other animals are moving from the lower pastures up to the higher pastures in the alpine regions. This particular location is in the Lauterbrunnen Valley, from Stechelberg making our way up to Alp Schiirboden. This is one of many locations where Alp Käse is made in the traditional way, milking and making the cheese daily completely by hand.
