Our maxx air delux fans were a little bit noisy when they were in the closed position, so to combat the noise we fitted the maxx fan seal around the inner side of the fan sealing the unit when it is closed and stopping 90% of the outside noise, it's a simple job. You don't need to remove the fan from your roof even tho it recommends you to do so.
