#homemade #recipe #tasty #food #seafood #prawn Spicy Goan prawn curry 1/2 kg prawns ( big size ) u can use any variety of prawns , but I am particular about the size Marinate prawns with 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp lime juice Then in a hot pan add sunflower oil , then half fry prawns , (one minute both sides )if u cook prawns longer it will get rubbery Transfer the prawns to a plate To the same pan add 1 cup chopped onions sauteed until translucent, then add 2 tbs minced green chillies,then 1 cup chopped tomatoes , add 2 tsp tamarind paste , saute until mashy , it has to be sauteed really well For dry Masala 4 tsp whole coriander seeds 2 tsp cumin seed 2 tsp pepper corns 4 to 5 cloves 2 medium size cinnamon sticks 15 Kashmiri red chilies ( seed removed) Roast everything for 1 minutes on low flame Then grind this to fine powder ( this to be noted) Then to the dry masala add 1/2 cup grated coconuts and 10 to 12 garlic cloves Grind this to fine paste adding enough water for grinding Then add this paste to the onion mixture Saute really well add oil if needed , then add salt Then add 1 cup water and boil 10 minutes on low flame with lid covered Then to the semi thick gravy add half cooked prawns , Finally add 11/2 cups thick coconut milk Boil on low flame until prawns is cooked( almost 1 1/2 minutes) The spicy Goan prawn curry is ready Now will prepare okra stir fry In a pan add oil , then 1/4 tsp cumin seeds, once it’s splutter add 2 tbs crushed garlic , then 3 red chilies, then 1 large chopped onions , saute the onions then add salt and on high flame add medium size ladles finger , do not over cook ladies finger then add 1/4 cup grated coconut,mix really well , okra stir fry is ready , serve both with basmati rice
