LEONIDIO: ESCALADA DEPORTIVA en chorreras y equipación de vías. Viaje de españoles en Grecia 🇬🇷
A group of 10 Spanish climbers in the Greek Peloponnese, during 3 weeks, climbing tufas and bolting some routes. https://www.pasoclave.com/leonidio-vi... Five years ago, Sucina met Michael Schreber in Murcia. Sucina was working on the equipment for the Caputa crag, in Mula. There Michael was able to learn how to bolt his first two climbing routes. Michael continued his trip. He went to India and Greece, where he heard about the amount of rock. There, in Leonidio, he was trapped by his potential. 10 HISPANOS: THE SPANISH EXPEDITION IN GREECE 10 have been the assistants to the trip. From Andalusia, Murcia, Caceres and Asturias. Three weeks they've been on Greek land. Time has been allowed to acclimatize to its resistance climbing on tufas, to discover its culture and gastronomy, and to bolt some of its jewels. CLIMBING IN GREECE Leonidio is a cozy town on the east coast of the Greek Peloponnese. Surrounded by rock, its popularity increases among climbers. Elite climbers such as Dani Andrada, Dave Graham or Daila Ojeda move there to enjoy their beautiful, easier grade routes. SECTOR MARS Red calcareous, and one of the most popular in Leonidio. On the right side is where Sucina has bolted a new route called PasoClave.com, 7b+. SECTOR ELONA The monastery of Elona is an amazing construction. From its parking lot, there is an approach time of less than 5 minutes. Their climb is more overhanging and demanding than in the Mars sector. A grey rock, of the highest quality. A sector not to be missed during your visit to Leonidio, and in which Sucina and Pablo have left another jewel for the enjoyment of their visitors: "10 Hispanos", 8a. TRAVEL TO LEONIDIO, ACCOMMODATION AND CLIMBING GUIDE The best option is to fly to Athens. There, rent a car directly at the airport. It takes about 3 hours by car to get to Leonidio, with 10 euros in tolls. In Leonidio it is easy to find accommodation via Airbnb, or by asking at the climbing cooperative Pánjika. There you can also buy the updated guide of the sport climbing sectors. Enjoy the drone pointi of view.
