How to Bypass Safety Switches on the Troy-Bilt Pony 42 Riding Lawn Mower

In this short video, I'll show you how to bypass two aggravating and unnecessary safety switches on the Troy-Bilt Pony 42 riding lawnmower--the seat safety switch and the backup mower safety switch. This way, I can get off the lawn mower while the mower blade is engaged. I can also backup while the mower blade is engaged. Why did disable them? for several reasons. First of all, I am capable of deciding for myself if I want to get off the lawn mower or backup while the blade is engaged. I don't like having a safety switch that makes the decision for me. Second, when going over bumps, I often bounce on the seat, which causes the safety switch to stall the engine. Third, I have to move things like water hoses, sticks, etc. I don't want to have to disengage the blade every time I need to jump off the mower for 2 seconds. Lastly, it's ludicrous that I have to go through an elaborate procedure on the starter switch just to backup while mowing without the engine shutting off.
