Racing to Reach Max Rank in Black Ops 2 Zombies

Where things like 10th prestige and a weapon’s mastery camo can all be done by a player of any skill if given enough time, the “Shotguns” rank in Zombies is both a direct reflection of an individual player’s skill and was shrouded in mystery for the game’s entire lifecycle. The community only discovered that it was a player’s “Round to Down” ratio that impacted this rank after Advanced Warfare was released two years later. With how much time some players sunk into Black Ops 2 without trying to maximize this ratio, for some of us, reaching the max rank became nearly impossible. This is the camp I found myself in. On my Xbox account, I was only ever to reach the “Skull and Knife” rank after playing Black Ops 2 relatively consistently for an entire decade. But now that I’ve switched to PC Gaming, I have a fresh start with Black Ops 2 on a new Steam account, which is why for the past month I’ve been grinding to reach that elusive max rank for the first time.
