Bristell is one of the best selling LSA in GA, it is also top of the line premium product in that category. For a long time, Bristell like many other aircraft in it’s class have held on to the Rotax 912 100HP engine. But over the years many of their customers have asked for more power. Well we have more power. The new Bristell fitted with a Rotax 915 turbo charged engine will produce 40% more power at 141 HP. Now we are still limited in the light sport category. That means this aircraft cannot go any faster than 120 kt. Even though the engine can do more, the speed has to be locked in at that. Where you do get to realize that extra boost in power is during your climb. The additional horsepower will allow the Bristell to climb at a much faster rate, 1700 ft per minute. And in cruise, while you’re locked in at 120 kts, 138 mph, you are not burning more fuel.
