Alex Miller Performs At The Crusade 72 Variety Show

This year's 72nd WHAS Crusade for Children telethon was June 7th and 8th and raised $5,890,189.77 to help children with identified needs throughout Kentucky and Indiana!! The Saturday night Crusade Variety Show featured longtime favorites, new and returning acts, and also focused on the amazing talents of current and former Crusade children performers that have received help from Crusade funded grants. Alex Miller returned this year as the show headliner. He grew up in the town of Lancaster which is in Garrard County, Kentucky. A rising country star from Lancaster, Kentucky, his career took off just after his appearance on American Idol in 2021 and it hasn’t slowed down. He tours constantly and has opened for Brooks & Dunn, Jamey Johnson, Justin Moore, Neal McCoy, and Alabama just to name a few. He performed for us here last year and 26 days later he made his debut at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN. He’s even got a hit video on CMT for the song “The Byrd” featuring him and country music great Tracy Byrd.
