When we encounter people who blame God for their afflictions, our natural instinct, driven by genuine love, is to want to fight and immediately prove them wrong. However, today’s daily text, based on Psalm 86:12, invites us to act in a far more powerful and healing way. Satan has blinded people’s minds with the lie that Jehovah is vengeful or indifferent. But the Scriptures reveal a God who feels our pain so intensely that the suffering of His people directly affects the “apple of His eye.” The grandeur of this empathy is unparalleled. He stoops down to comfort us and lift us from the dust. How can we reflect this in practice? Whether in the ministry or receiving a visitor at the Kingdom Hall, when we encounter someone blinded by these slanders, we need to remember that we are not in a verbal battle. The person stumbling in the darkness needs help, not criticism. Explaining the truth with mildness, patience, and sincere love is living proof that Satan’s slanders are false. After all, the best way to cleanse and defend Jehovah’s reputation is to reveal, through our own actions, how loving and empathetic our Creator truly is. Take every opportunity to comfort and teach, always acting out of love.
