In the final part of our Diamondo Earthrounding flight around the world, Robin and Matt set out to cross the Atlantic in the ‪@DiamondAircraftInd‬ #da50. Flying Eastbound from Canada, the crew makes stops in Greenland and Iceland. Visiting ‪@Climeworks_official‬ Orca Plant close to Reykjavik, Robin and Matt highlight how Direct Air Capture in combination with the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel #SAF closes the carbon cycle. Starting 08:21 After completing the crossing of the Atlantic by touching down in Wick, Scotland, the pilots visit ‪@CranfieldUni‬ followed by a layover in Amsterdam, where the DA50 is fuelled with physical SAF by our partner Jet Aviation. In Northern Germany, the diamondo crew overflies the Heide Refinery‪@kommunikationraffineriehei5838‬ where e-fuel production along the "Methanol-Route" and powered by renewable electricity from close by offshore wind parks is being ramped up. Eventually, the refinery's SAF will be delivered to ‪@HAMAirport‬. Starting 11:20 Flying southbound, the crew visits ‪@Synhelion‬ facilities in Jülich, Germany to discover their development of Solar Fuels.
