The Journey to Every Country in the World

For seven years, I traveled with just a duffel bag on a journey that took me to all 195 countries in the world. I started this mission during one of the most difficult chapters of my life, weighed down by OCD and severe anxiety that made even ordinary moments feel impossible. Over time, the journey carried me across deserts and jungles, through war zones, and into quiet corners of the world — often sleeping in insect-filled guesthouses and taking overnight buses just to reach the next border. As the journey unfolded, I connected with people through tennis in places I never imagined visiting, returned to my ancestral home of Egypt, and later found a deeper sense of purpose in Nigeria, where I founded Humanity Effect — a nonprofit that now supports the education of over 750 children in the floating community of Makoko. On April 3, 2025, I reached my final country, North Korea, by running in the Pyongyang Marathon. Shortly after, I was officially verified as the youngest person to ever visit every country in the world by NomadMania, the world’s most extreme travel community. This film is the story of how travel reshaped my life — and what the world can show us when we stay open to it.
