Elephants are an integral part of Thailand's culture and history. Spending time feeding, bathing and brushing them in Phang Nga was absolutely incredible. Before coming to Thailand I hadn't planned on visiting an Elephant Sanctuary, and then I met the owners of the family run Phang Nga Elephant Park. When I heard their story and how much they give back to better the future of the Asian Elephants in Thailand, I knew I had to visit. They invited me to come and experience it myself, and during my visit they taught me so much about the ethical treatments of Elephants, and they important role they play in the Thai culture and life.
