This is the complete guide to swap an EJ20 out of a Subaru Forester into a 1990 Subaru EA Brumby. Providing all of the information required, apart from everything I forgot to film or talk about ... In this video, we disassemble our EJ engine and replace head gaskets, timing belt, water pump, and also perform a tappet adjustment. We paint our manifold wrinkle red, just to add some spice (hmmm spicy). We remove our EA81 from the Brumby/Brat - modifiying the cross member, fly wheel and loom. We also fit a heavy duty clutch. We modify the radiator to suit the EJ engine. And we build the worlds worst mild steel exhaust ... This is a simplified version of our original EJ20 conversion series.
