Why Your Kids Should be Playing Halo

Patreon:   / leadheadyt   Discord:   / discord   Second Channel:    / porkbrain   Twitter:   / leadheadyt   As a young adult who has a lot of childhood memories tied to the Halo series, I can't help but be nostalgic for the games, even as I hardly think about them nowadays, but regardless of that, it's impossible for me to ignore how much of an impact they had on my young, malleable mind growing up. I didn't see the games as a route to some cathartic violence, for me, they were a route to the majesty of our universe, and the incredible world that exists in all of our minds. They played a huge part in my development as a social presence, and as an isolated thinker, and while I'm sure I'd be much as I am today without the series, they completely colored so much of my early "philosophy", and were responsible for my transformation from a child, to a true person. While you obviously shouldn't let the games do the parenting, you shouldn't disregard the series as mindless violence, rotting your kids brain away either.
