Simpson trial in 1995. He provided some behind-the-scenes insight into the case, despite once publicly alleging Simpson's guilt before joining his legal team. He explained that he was brought onto the case specifically to save Simpson from the death penalty. He claimed he had a significant involvement, although he was only present in-court for a dozen days. He reflected on the prosecution's missteps, stating, "They made every mistake in the book," even suggesting their own arrogance lost them the case. According to him, the former NFL star took control of his defense and was prevented from testifying by his own legal team. Reflecting on the verdict, he confessed surprise at the decision of acquittal. He refrained from voicing an opinion on Simpson's guilt or innocence, indicating professional confidentiality.
